After reserving a 24 foot truck and an auto trailer and 30 blankets to move my son back from college, I arrived in a distant city to find that U-Haul did not have the equipment that I had a reservation for. None of it. I had to wait 9 hours before they found a truck 18 miles away and there was no auto transport and there were no blankets. It wasn’t until the next day that they found an auto transport. I lost 9 hours in the delay of loading the truck and I lost a day’s pay by being back to my work site a day late. It cost me $320 for moving help and they had nothing to do while we waited for a truck. U-Haul was very unresponsive in trying to resolve the issues even with 13 phone calls in that 9 hour period of time. I would never use them again and if you read the various web sites that cover their poor customer service, you would see why.
