I reserved a U-Haul truck for a particular location ten days in advance and had truck size, pick-up location confirmed. U-Haul’s (aka U-Hell)policy is not to re-confirm the reservation until 5pm the NIGHT BEFORE the reservation date (note: after business hours). They never called so I called at 5:30pm and was told they were looking a truck. I ended up speaking to a very rude, obnoxious, and condescending U-Haul rep at the Boston regional location named “Jesse”. By 7:30pm (remember, this is the night before I was supposed to pick up the truck) I was informed I would need to travel over an hour and a half out of my way to get a truck-the rude rep had a take it or leave it attitude. Moving is stressful enough without adding the inept, hellacious company of U-Haul to the mix. Whatever you do, stay clear and pay a few extra dollars for a reputable, customer friendly, truck rental company.
