What an absolute nightmare, trying to deal with these people. Do not bother making any kind of reservations for a truck or storage space; reservations are meaningless with u-haul. A confirmation number is just an imaginary number someone pulls out of the air %26 has you write down.
After driving a total of 87 miles, visiting two locations to get a truck (the first location had 4 trucks on the lot %26 no one waiting, but, no truck we could use) we load the truck %26 arrive at the storage location our customer no-service rep told us to use. We were supposed to receive 1 month free storage, climate controlled with the rental of a one-way truck. The gentleman at the location, upon our arrival informed us that they do not offer the 1 month free at that location.
After 1 hour 20 min. of phone calls, we have to use another storage facility, 40 miles in the opposite direction. No one seems to have any of the reservations or confirmation numbers. They did, however, have our credit card number which they had no problem charging.
