My son just moved from Texas to Colorado. We helped. The condition of the truck he rented was terrible. The vibration in the cab extreme and tiring. About 2/3 of the way there, we got a look at the FRONT tires (when the wheel was turned) and were horrified to see the uneven tire wear (the front tires had about 3″ less tread on the inside than on the outside). It is a wonder that the truck got him there safely. This business should be regulated to make sure that these vehicles are maintained properly and road-worthy.
These trucks are a menace both for those who rent them and for those who share the road with them.
