do not use U HAUL U Haul

I rented a 20′ U-Haul truck to move from one city to the other and was the biggest mistake I have ever done.

Although I had reserved 2 month in advance, I showed up the day of the rental to find out that they are out of trucks and that I will be stuck with a 10′ truck. Had to do 2 trips in order to move all my stuff, luckily the cities were only 1.5 hours apart.

Not only this, on my second trip, I was pulled over by a police officer who was making a routine check on the plates of truck and was not happy with the results. Turns out that the truck the company gave me had stolen plates on it. The u-haul truck had Montana Plates and was registered in Tennesse. After almost getting arrested due to that issue and spending 3 hours dealing with 4 police officers who were trying to get to the bottom of this scam, they finally let me go.

U-haul was not even surprised…apparently it is a common practice! they DID NOTHING for me, they said it is not their problem - you would think that they would at least refund my money for the hassle that I had to go through with the cops and the 10′ truck.

I contacted their corporation, wrote nasty letters, reached all the way to the top - the bottom line was that they could care less about loosing one more customer…U-HAUL SUCKS…
