Picked up the truck at 8AM, got it home, parked it in the driveway, started packing it up and realized we should move the truck to make it easier to get things in it and when we went to do so, it wouldn’t start. We called UHAUL who said they would send someone over to look at the truck but they never came. My friend ended up driving back to the UHAUL rental place to see what was going on. Someone finally came with another UHAUL which looked equally as old and as loud as the first and was asking US for jumper cables so he could try to get the piece of crap running since he didn’t even think to bring his own. Not only that, the truck that they came with was on EMPTY. I got the UHAUL at 8AM and didn’t start packing the second one up until 11AM. They said I would not be charged and guess what, of course I was. They also left the broken down UHAUL in front of the apartment I moved out of for over 24 hours. I called them to let them know my landlord was going to call the police and they hung up on me. The police finally had to tow the UHAUL truck away because they could not get it started and obviously didn’t want to pay for a tow. I am still working on getting my money refunded to me.
