I recently rented a 17′ truck %26 checked the maintenance log as always. They had just replaced brake pads front %26 rear, also 2 front tires. The truck was loaded that day to leave for an 880 mile trip which we left for the next day. The truck was a 2000 so I really didn’t think there would be a problem. The next day my son %26 I left for the first leg %26 I drove 460 miles w/o incident. The next day it was raining %26 there seemed to be a lot of vibration I stopped once to see if there was a flat tire, there wasn’t. Still a lot of vib. all of a sudden it swerved %26 I looked out the rear view %26 saw why there was so much vib. the left rear duals were at an angle. I pulled over as fast %26 safely as possible. I looked %26 there was only one stud left. My wife pulled over we went to rest area %26 called toll free for major repair. Two hours later the tow truck arrived to tow the truck that was when I found there were only three studs left on the other side. They put my family up over night %26 reimbursed us for meals. They had to tow a truck from 107 miles away, transfer the load, %26 tow the other truck back I lost a day %26 a half %26 a nights work. When the truck that I had was turned in they gave me a # to call for reimbursement on some of the rental its been over two weeks %26 still no word. THAT SUCKS
