This is a joke right? Allright, well i’ll add to the venting since it at least seems to help me get it out.
So i rented a truck online and they mention a location and the classic “we’ll call you within 30 minutes to confirm pick up time”. Sounds good.
Never got a call, but that doesn’t come as a surprise to you now. I called a total of 17 times with waiting times from 6 minutes to 21 minutes. My company has penalties for CS reps when a customer holds for over 20 seconds…
I never, absolutely never talked to a human being. Then i called national, and i first talked to a lady who mumbled a ‘be patient’ speech and hung up. Then I had someone else who started to give me hope by asking for my name and order number, then put me on hold and hung up.
I then went to the actual location, where, to no surprise, there was no truck available, but if i wanted, i could go in line for a first come first serve basis. They did know of any other locations around that could help me… and i live in downtown Chicago and the yellow pages list like 40 locations… (i checked later on).
After reading all these posts and noticing that a google search for Uhaul shows as first result a complaints website, i wonder how this company is still in business. A class action lawsuit would be a good idea in this case…
