Rental Company and hidden charges: UHAUL COMPANY 99 N. 4TH AVE. CHULA VISTA, CA. 91911 Uhaul company is the worst company to rent anything from. Their staff at the location: 99 N. 4th Ave. Chula Vista Ca. 91911 are incompetent people. There is no customer service whatsoever and the manager David C is useless. I had rented a truck and was mislead of the charges. First of all, I never received a full inspection upon agreement and to drive off with no apparent inspection was rather unusual. The gas tank read 3/4 full of a tank and that the discrepancy about that was when speaking to the clerk she had told to fill the tank that as when you drove off. Again, that’s my word against their staff. In this case there should have been a check sheet with my initials. I know and they know there was not a full tank of gas in that truck but they charged me for not being at a full tank upon returning it.

Not knowing of the dolly in the back of the truck was in the truck I was charged for that because I did not notice the seal being broken. I did not have to use it because I had my own dolly. There was no indication from the start that they made me be aware. There is no check-off sheet used before you take possession of the vehicle. So it’s my word against their worthless staff. So my complaint is, is that the UHAUL company are RIP OFF ARTISTS and everyone should know about the people that run the company, likes charging hidden charges to your agreement. I’ll make sure I NEVER rent from them again. I’ll make sure everyone I know won’t rent from them either.
