Scammers U Haul

I made a reservation for a truck for a Saturday move.

The local office didn’t call me before 5pm to confirm the pickup so I called the 800 number. They told me that they would call me back before 6pm. No call though, so I called them the next morning (the day we were supposed to move). Suddenly they had no record of my reservation. I was obviously steaming mad. We made reservations with Penske instead (Their service is great in comparison).

Well, I look at my bank account and they still charged me the $5 reservation fee. I called the local office and demanded the money back since they didn’t have a reservation for me. They refused, claiming that the I had confirmed the pickup for 8am Saturday morning. I told them that I hadn’t, but the lady told me to call the main 800 number. I call that number; they tell me that I had cancelled the reservation at 8am Saturday morning and that I would have to talk to the local office. And that’s where I am right now. Grrr.
