Service. What service??? U Haul

I booked a 17 ft U-haul truck over a month in advance and was told that everything was ok. The day before moving, I got a call saying that they had “upgraded” us to a 26 ft truck. I made a number of calls and try to explain that we did not need a 26 ft truck and that it would cost us a lot more to drive (about 1500 km) and to take the ferry. Everyone I talked to basically told me it was too bad but that they had the right to change the size of the truck (it is in the contract, in small prints). We even wrote an email to their customer service and never got and answer back. We have learned not to trust U-Haul and their customer service. Also, even if they appear to be cheaper, for us it was more expensive than Budget or Rider. We will never use U-haul again!!!
