My husband and I moved recently with a UHaul truck and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN! It took us close to 9 hours to make what is usually a 4 or 4.5 hour trip, owing to huge plumes of acrid black smoke pouring out of the engine. We kept on having to pull over by the side of the highway to let the engine cool down before we could start up again. Then, to cap it all off, when night fell we realized that the running lights didn’t work and one of the headlights was a lot dimmer than the other. All in all it was a lousy truck, making for an interminably long and stressful move. When we complained we were offered a grand total of $77 by UHaul for our trouble - off a bill that was many hundreds of dollars. Thanks UHaul, for next to nothing.
