U-Haul is famous for its rough ride.
Rented the average sized. Had flat-tire the next morning, called the "emergency"…showed up about 3 hours after I called. more than an hour later than stated.
Found that I couldn’t move into my new residency, so called U-Haul, was asked to come in person and bring the truck as well (trying to gain some mileage profits?). Said that I have to return the truck by 5:30 (it was about 11am when notified of this) or will be charged $100 per half hour past 5:30pm. Truck was full of my stuff and I couldn’t move into my new residency. Had no choice but to rent a storage, unload like crazy to return the truck by 5:30. It has a day I’ll never forget (9-9-99).
From this experience, I’ll never rent from U-Haul again.
