I will make this short because to give every detail would make it a novella.

Went to pick up truck, Uhaul had a totally different name next to my address so I had to blabber with the idiots to convince them I was the one who booked the truck. Finally got the truck, a 26 foot, 20 year old, 3 speed piece of crap with terrible steering alignment. Loaded truck which took 5 hours. Went to start truck to move to new apt., truck will not start. The engine would not turn over. Call Uhaul, wait 45 minutes, explain situation, get hung up on. Call back, wait 30 minutes, explain situation again because I got a new operator. Tow truck comes at 9:30 pm, 90 minutes after I got off the phone with Uhaul. Unsuccessfully tries to jump engine. Driver wants to pull me down the street and pop the clutch to do a compression start. I have no experience driving a 26 foot truck, much less pop the clutch on it, loaded with 1000 + pounds of our belonging with people all over the busy street. He agrees and leaves to get a bigger truck capable of towing us. 90 minutes pass…11 pm, no tow truck. I call Uhaul, wait 30 minutes to get someone, explain story for third time. They tell me no one is coming tonight (that we sent the driver away!) and that someone would be by in the morning. I am supposed to be out of my place in 30 minutes, where am I going to sleep I ask. They don’t care and will not put me up in a hotel. Sleep on floor of my empty apartment that night. Mechanic arrives at 9 am, a shady dude to say the least, and determines a new starter is needed but he does not have one so he needs to go back to home base and get one. He leaves, 10 minutes later tow truck arrives and offers to tow me to our new apt. I say hell yeah, not caring about the idiot mechanic who just left. He works for Uhaul so he can burn in hell. Finally got truck to my new place….phew! After practically threatening to take Uhaul to court for renting out unsafe unreliable equipment and shady customer service, I got a total refund, not having to pay a red cent.
