When I think of all the bad customer experiences I have had in my life, U-Haul stands out. Unfriendly, slow, unresponsive, downright stupid are the words that I would use to describe the service people that "helped us."

When we stood in that U-Haul store in Seattle returning our van, my roommate and I dreamed of ways we could possibly communicate our displeasure to the world. My dream was to start a U-Haul sucks website(www.uhaulsucks.com) where all the customers who had been abused by the company could share their war stories. Thank you epinions for providing that forum for all the disgruntled do-it-yourself amongst us.

Service at U-Haul means:

* 30 minutes to make a reservation

* no time to lose it

* show up at 8 AM Saturday morning and the simplest transaction, picking up a truck, takes 45 minutes

* 10 minutes spent wandering the lot to find the truck because the vehicles were not marked correctly

* general unfriendliness

* $14 per box, $.37 per mile, a ripoff!

* a amazingly broken computer system

* a $90 dollar deposit that still has not been returned
