If you want to know why I prefer renting a truck instead of having a moving company move you, then please read my opinion on Ryder trucks. Most of my reason for prefering U Haul over Ryder is also told in that review. Unlike Ryder, where the people I had to do business with were rude, the people at U Haul were extremely nice and helpful. When it came time to pick up the truck, it was ready and waiting for us. Now I am not realy saying that U Haul trucks are any better than Ryder, because we never had any trouble with either truck. It was just the personal, and just because we had trouble at one rental place does not mean that you will have trouble at the place you go to. It was probably unfair of me to rate Ryder low, but I can only go by my experences, and because of them, I will rate U Haul over Ryder.
