I would bet money that the people writing the 5 star reviews are connected to uHaul. In my opinion no customer would give uHaul 5 stars.

The whole time I was standing in line to pick up the truck the employees were talking to each other about a hot girl that had applied for a job. They would walk back and forth yelling at each other and laughing, every few moments pausing to enter a tidbit of the waiting customers’ info into the computer. Just when I thought is was over one of the workers began to yell at the other employees to bring her application out to get her address and phone number. This is all while there were 10 people standing in line.

I rented a uhaul truck twice within 6 months from the San Francisco uHaul right before candlestick park on 101. The first time the death trap of a truck would not shift into the higher gears. I had to drive on the freeway in 2nd gear. After moving my new couch, I got up the next morning to return the truck. The keys would not work to unlock either door even though they had started the thing. Uhaul knew about this problem, but had rented it out “in error”. When I got my credit card statement they had charged me for coming out to unlock the truck even though they had assured me they would not. They had also charged me for two extra days because they had not bothered to check it in when I returned it. The second time I rented a uhaul 6 months later (I could not find another truck rental company close by) they again charged me for an extra day. The lazy employee who checks the trucks in did not bother to mark mine as having been returned. When I called they said they would take the charge off, but I had to call my credit card company after a month because the charges were not removed.
