So hi. I was gone all weekend but now I’m back so I can update you on the oh-so interesting things that happen to me. (Read that with some sarcasm but not TOO much)
So I drove down to Ithaca this weekend for a bachelorette party and reunion with college friends and wedding. It was fun, but that’s not what this entry is about. It’s about UHaul and why they aren’t so bad after all.
I drove down with my former roommate and we were almost to Ithaca when my phone rings (Fire on High by ELO - if you’ve never heard it, it ROCKS)
So it’s the guy from UHaul who said he would call me back but never did. And he apologizes and asks what he can do for me. And I tell him that I’ve already spoken to someone and they referred me to the Toll Free number and I called and they’re looking into it. And he says, well let me take a look at it and I’ll call you right back. I say, okay. Translation: Uh, huh. Sure. Here we go again. Whatever.
Ah, me of little faith.
He calls back in less than 5 minutes, takes my CC number for my refund of just less than $40 and tells me he’ll take care of contacting the Toll Free Customer Service people. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Lois, this is not my Batman glass.
I was so surprised! That’s good service. So once all that stuff clears I think it will end up being about $15 less than I originally thought, which is good. And that will be good news for Brian as well. And Brian if you’re reading this - I’ll let you know the new total as soon as I do.
God is good. He loves us so much that He even takes care of silly things like being overcharged at UHaul, which is something that I probably should have caught in the beginning anyway. Love you, Jesus.
That is the end of my UHaul saga. Ben, you can feel free to rent from them but you might want to take me with you.
