They do not honor reservations even when you pay hundreds of dollars in advance on your credit card. They leave you stranded when you are supposed to move. They have horrible customer service (I was attacked by a u-haul employee after a verbal confrontation when they did not have my truck that I had a reservation for a month in advance). I had to call the police and have the U-Haul employee arrested. U-Haul did not refund me anything, nor did they apologize for what happened. Needless to say, BEWARE… you are taking your life in your hands when you deal with U-Haul, whether it be employees attacking you or trucks breaking down on you (I’ve seen many a U-haul dead on the side of the road.) All they want is your money, and they don’t care what happens to you after that… the don’t even care if they provide the service you paid for in advance. BEWARE!!!!!!!
Stick with Ryder, Penske, or Budget…. nothing can be worse than U-Haul.
