I have used U-Haul every time I have made a move. As a recent graduate, you can imagine the quantity of use! After my last experience, I will NEVER use them again. I called to make a change in the dates of my reservation and received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The person told me that I needed to “make up your mind, lady!” At no point in the conversation was his disrespect merited. I told him to cancel my reservation. After waiting about 10 minuets in complete silence, he gave me a cancellation number. I called the customer service line immediately to report what happened. He NEVER canceled my reservation and gave me a bogus cancellation number. I suppose he intended to charge my credit card when I did not pick up the truck on the reserved day. I have never made a complaint about a company, but I do not want others to make the same mistake.
